About The Position
HB NEXT is looking for an Environmental Compliance Intern to join our Environmental Services team in the Wilmington, NC area. This internship offers hands-on experience in environmental compliance within the construction industry and is ideal for students who enjoy working outdoors, solving real-world problems, and learning directly from industry professionals. ABOUT HB NEXT HB NEXT is a compliance and consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 1999, we have helped construction, utility, and infrastructure companies manage environmental and safety regulations through field inspections, consulting services, and proprietary compliance software.
Requirements
- Students pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Interest in environmental compliance, construction, or field-based work
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to travel to job sites
Responsibilities
- Assist with stormwater and NPDES inspections on active construction sites
- Observe and support SWPPP compliance activities
- Document site conditions and assist with inspection reports using HB NEXT technology
- Work with construction teams to help maintain environmental compliance
- Travel to construction sites in the Wilmington area
