About The Position

Multi-discipline Civil and Environmental Engineering Firm with Co-op/Internship Position to provide students with experience in all environmental and geoscience consulting areas. Gilmore & Associates, Inc. (www.gilmore-assoc.com) has five offices in Pennsylvania. G&A provides full civil and environmental engineering services for municipal, land development, institutional, industrial, and private clients.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a project team.
  • Exhibit a positive, energetic, and cooperative attitude.
  • College experience, with track toward Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Applied Geoscience
  • Organized and detailed oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Skilled with technical equipment, ability to use basic hand tools
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to compose letters and complex reports
  • General knowledge of geology and soils field descriptions
  • Demonstrates the highest degree of ethical behavior and candor.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD and ArcGIS a plus

Responsibilities

  • Water Level Monitoring
  • Water Quality Monitoring
  • Water Level and Chemical Data Processing
  • Equipment calibration
  • Field Data Collection for geologic, soils, and water supply evaluations
  • Performs assignments provided by the Project Geologist, Hydrogeologist, Environmental Scientist, or Project Manager
  • Compiles data and prepares plans, graphics, reports, and/or studies with guidance from the Project Geologist, Hydrogeologist, Soil Scientist, Environmental Scientist or Project Manager
