About The Position

Requires the fundamental understanding of the principles, concepts, and methods of environmental health program work, consumer health programs, or other environmental health concerns. Must demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge while performing a variety of duties involving the assistance with coordination and/or monitoring, of projects, or activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in public health, environmental health, environmental science, physical science, natural science, biological science, agricultural science, or an equivalent major.
  • A minimum of 30 semester hours in physical, natural, and biological sciences, public health and/or environmental health or environmental protection or both.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Must be a professional Register Environmental Specialist or Sanitarian in the State of Oklahoma or be able to obtain certification within 1 year.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
