Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience in environmental safety or manufacturing
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or related field preferred
- Taproot certification preferred
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Become proficient in EHS software
- Conduct regular safety and environmental audits and inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address hazards and risks
- Provide site specific data to assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Learn how to analyze EHS data, trends, and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, injuries, and illnesses
- Maintain safety data sheets and other safety-related documentation
- Provide site specific data for preparation of EHS reports and presentations
- Coordinate and assist in conducting EHS training sessions for employees
- Participle in EHS committees and teams to drive continuous improvement
- Promote Daikin’s goal of zero (accidents, emissions, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations and industry best practices
- Perform other related duties as assigned
