About The Position

Reporting to the Manager/Director, the Environmental Health & Safety Specialist 2 plays a vital role in promoting and maintaining a safe and secure environment. With minimal supervision, the Sr. EH&S Specialist is capable of communicating all facets of the safety program to internal and external stakeholders at the guidance of the EH&S manager/director. The Sr EH&S Specialist ensures compliance with applicable EH&S regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree preferably in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or Occupational Safety.
• Drivers License from Florida.
• Minimum Required Experience: 5 Years

Nice To Haves

• Prefer one or more of the following professional certifications (or ability to obtain within 24 months): Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Registered Environmental Professional (REP), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), Certified Healthcare Environmental Manager (CHEM), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP).
