With minimal supervision, supports environmental health and workplace safety programs to maintain and promote a healthy and safe environment for staff, volunteers, patients and visitors that will reduce the financial risks associated with injuries and illnesses. Inspects and surveys areas and activities to minimize potential risks, and investigates incidents. Participates in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety policies and procedures, and provides education and/or training to help staff understand and comply with the requirements of the environmental health & workplace safety programs. This is a hybrid/mobile position with majority of the time spent in the field. Travel will be required to the various sites. Anticipated to work in the office 2-3 days per week. This position will cover various ambulatory locations across the Greater Silicon Valley Division under Sutter Bay Medical Foundation (SBMF). The primary focus will be from San Jose to Daly City to Santa Cruz and on occasion other sites within the division as needed.
