About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety Intern position at Hubbell Power Systems is a summer internship program designed for students to gain corporate experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) within a manufacturing context. The internship lasts 10 to 12 weeks and focuses on compliance support, project objectives, and departmental goals, providing a comprehensive learning experience in a professional environment.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's degree related to the internship (required).
  • Working toward a BS in EHS Management or equivalent with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Task planning skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-motivated problem solver, eager to learn, and able to operate with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with the corporate EHS team and perform tasks as assigned to meet compliance support, project objectives, and departmental goals.
  • Work under immediate supervision of more experienced staff.
  • Participate in program development for uniformity and compliance purposes.
  • Assist facilities with implementation of EHS related ISO standards.
  • Participate in and conduct EHS audits with peers and management.
  • Actively involved in the EHS program implementation process.
  • Lead small projects, as assigned, to support department goals.
