We are truly Everywhereyoulook Summary Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and manages the consolidation of hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical) from satellite accumulation areas to the main hazardous waste storage area. Interacting with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and provides the distribution of hazardous materials to the production and manufacturing areas. Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. This role will support both Teledyne Reynolds (Torrance) and Teledyne ESP (Chatsworth).
