About The Position

The EHS Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations at a specialty pharmaceutical company's chemical manufacturing plant in Raleigh, NC. This full-time position involves managing safety processes, developing safety programs, and supporting various risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering, Science or related field
• 2+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience and chemical safety in a manufacturing/industrial environment with a PSM requirement
• Process chemistry experience preferred
• Knowledge and ability to perform risk assessments
• Strong foundation and understanding of OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

• Manage safety process and process safety management (PSM) systems
• Develop and implement chemical management safety programs
• Serve as a subject matter expert for safety and environmental requirements
• Manage CAPAs and continuous improvements for safety
• Support risk assessments (PHA, LOPA, FMEA, HazOP)
