About The Position

Seven Seas Water Group (SSWG), a portfolio company owned by EQT, is headquartered in Tampa with operations across the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America. SSWG delivers over 20 billion gallons of water annually to industrial, commercial, governmental, municipal, and hospitality customers, designing, building, owning, and operating water and wastewater treatment plants. The company operates two businesses: Seven Seas Water and AUC Group. EQT is a purpose-driven global investment organization with over EUR 273 billion in total assets under management, focused on active ownership strategies and investing in essential infrastructure. This EHS Intern role is an office-based position, but highly connected to real operations, supporting island facilities and AUC construction teams. The intern will focus on developing training, improving safety systems, and building workflows in KPA that are actually usable in the field. The work will directly impact how teams plan work, reduce risk, and operate more efficiently. This internship is for someone interested in how systems, data, and communication drive safety, beyond just compliance, and who wants to build, improve, and streamline how safety works across a global organization.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong interest in process improvement, systems, and real-world application of safety.
  • Notices details others miss.
  • Asks questions and challenges inefficiencies.
  • Can take information and turn it into something clear and usable.
  • Comfortable working in a structured, office-based role while collaborating with field teams.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in learning systems like KPA is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop presentations, onboarding content, and toolbox talks for EHS training.
  • Help translate real-world risks into clear, practical training.
  • Build and update safety forms, workflows, and templates in KPA.
  • Test and refine processes to ensure they are easy to use in the field.
  • Help eliminate unnecessary steps, confusion, and rework in safety systems.
  • Review safety observations, inspections, and reports.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and recurring issues from safety data.
  • Support reporting that helps leadership make better decisions.
  • Collaborate with island operations and AUC construction teams.
  • Gather feedback and turn it into system and process improvements.
  • Assist with updates to key EHS programs (e.g., LOTO, Electrical Safety, HazCom).
  • Help standardize processes across multiple locations.
  • Support initiatives that move the organization from reactive fixes to planned, efficient work.
  • Contribute ideas that reduce repeat issues and improve how work gets done.
