About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern position at Hubbell Incorporated is a 10 to 12-week internship designed for students to gain corporate experience in EHS practices within a manufacturing environment. The intern will support the corporate EHS team in compliance, program development, and project objectives, while also participating in audits and program implementation. This role emphasizes collaboration, customer focus, and the application of academic knowledge in a professional setting.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's degree related to the internship
  • Working toward a BS in EHS Management or equivalent with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Task planning skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated problem solver eager to learn and operate with limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Work under immediate supervision of more experienced staff
  • Participate in program development for uniformity and compliance purposes
  • Assist facilities with implementation of EHS related ISO standards
  • Participate in and conduct EHS audits with peers and management
  • Lead small projects as assigned to support department goals
  • Receive direct assistance on difficult tasks
