Requirements

A degree from an accredited college or university along with 2 years of relevant EHS experience.
In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant EHS experience will be considered.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical writing and excellent people skills, are required.
Must have demonstrated leadership abilities in a self-directed team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a manufacturing environment, along with an OSHA 10 or 30 certification, is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work as a team to drive our “people first” culture
Develop and maintain a safe workplace.
Keep safety awareness high and ensure that all employees are aware that safety is the company’s number one priority.
Work with the manufacturing EHS Manager to ensure that the site operations are compliant with all accepted safety practices.
Develop and promote best practice safety programs through employee training, safety team activities, managing industry safe program audits and data, and incident investigation and tracking.
Work to improve safety performance at all times.
Maintain all required safety training records and ensure compliance with all OSHA-required record-keeping.
Work to maintain good employee morale and manage employee welfare events.
Meet yearly manufacturing plan objectives in the areas of environmental, health, and safety.
Support all other site activities as necessary.
