Requirements

  • A degree from an accredited college or university along with 2 years of relevant EHS experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant EHS experience will be considered.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical writing and excellent people skills, are required.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership abilities in a self-directed team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, along with an OSHA 10 or 30 certification, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Keep safety awareness high and ensure that all employees are aware that safety is the company’s number one priority.
  • Work with the manufacturing EHS Manager to ensure that the site operations are compliant with all accepted safety practices.
  • Develop and promote best practice safety programs through employee training, safety team activities, managing industry safe program audits and data, and incident investigation and tracking.
  • Work to improve safety performance at all times.
  • Maintain all required safety training records and ensure compliance with all OSHA-required record-keeping.
  • Work to maintain good employee morale and manage employee welfare events.
  • Meet yearly manufacturing plan objectives in the areas of environmental, health, and safety.
  • Support all other site activities as necessary.
