As a Environmental Health & Safety Administrator you will be successful in creating a safety-first work environment. Responsible for managing the Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives across all NA departments and locations throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States. Promote a safe work environment by developing, executing, and maintaining all aspects of the EHS program which meets or exceeds compliance with local, state, federal and country specific regulations. These shall include EHS policies, procedures, trainings, documentation, investigations, reporting, enforcement, and occupational risk assessments.

  • Develop, implement, and manage all environmental, health and safety (EHS) policies, programs, and procedures for Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
  • Ensure EHS compliance with local, state, federal and country specific regulations.
  • Application of best practice and industry standards for Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
  • Creation and management of state specific OSHA plans, requirements and state specific workplace violence and injury illness prevention programs.
  • Identification, mitigation, and recording of EHS hazards through comprehensive hazard identification processes throughout Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
  • Conduct and oversee site safety risk analyses for NA office locations to drive continuous improvement and follow a PDCA framework.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while providing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with employees, managers, and relevant business units to ensure all relevant incident information is documented.
  • Drive safety initiatives company-wide by providing clear and concise communication and guidance.
  • Manage and maintain a robust fleet safety program covering employees located in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
  • Create, review, and maintain specific EHS program standards and policy documents for Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
  • Drive the formation and direction of workplace health & safety committees for Mexico, Canada, and United States (where applicable).
  • Serve as primary Subject Matter Expert for workplace health & safety committees, programs, and policy documents.
  • Manage and monitor the creation and maintenance of EHS training for employees in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
  • Provide oversight for site-specific emergency response procedures following local and federal codes for Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
  • Monitor and oversee the maintenance of fire extinguishers, first aid, and automated external defibrillators.
  • Ensure site compliance with emergency action drills at all NA office locations.
  • Maintain records pertaining to health and safety programs and procedures as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as liaison to any EHS related regulatory bodies during mandated inspections or document requests.
  • Actively manage the Emergency Alert and mass notification system relative life-safety issues.
  • Administers access rights related to access controls badges, intrusion alarm codes and physical keys to ensure proper vetting.
  • 5+ years' experience
  • Bachelor's degree required in related field
  • Professional certifications preferred
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 15%
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
