POSITION RESPONSIBILITY: Environmental Health & Safety Specialist Work with different departments to identify hazards and opportunities for safety and environmental improvements Investigate all incidents and accidents to determine root cause analysis Coordinate and lead various training sessions Coordinate, participate in and coach operations team by attending meetings, conducting facility inspections and incident investigations Complete inspection audits in operational processes and operational equipment to ensure safety standard are being met Coordinate efforts of consultants with manufacturing and maintenance and tooling schedules Promote team involvement activities to improve systems used in the production area to increase efficiency Track incident data and provide trends to operational teams - KPI tracking Knowledge of wastewater, storm water, and air permit requirements Knowledge of ISO 14001 Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 1-3 years of industry experience OR 3-5 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety field
  • Manufacturing Experience Preferred
  • Communication Skills Required (verbal and written)
  • Problem-solving courses or experience
