Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • US Citizenship.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in EHS /manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related field, with minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and UTC EH&S Standard Practices.
  • Identify health & safety hazards and controls to mitigate risks.
  • Assist the EH&S team with tracking implementation of EH&S initiatives and projects across the organization.
  • Contribute by updating and reviewing all Columbus EH&S instructions and training materials.
  • Data entry and validation in EH&S Sustainability Management and Reporting Toolkit as required.
  • Gather data on open items from PW sites on Safety, Health, and Risk Reduction metrics or projects.
  • Support implementation of the Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management system.
  • Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in the site EH&S Council.
  • Continuously improve EH&S performance and operations, including improvement programs and corrective actions, environmental protection projects, conservation activities, and integration of EH&S initiatives into overall business operations.
  • Interface with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, permit applications, etc.).
  • Conduct safety inspections and analyze audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices.
  • All other duties as assigned.
