We are seeking an EHS Manager who would responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all environmental, health, and safety programs and procedures at our facility. The core objective is to ensure a safe work environment, achieve compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.), and drive a proactive safety culture across the organization.

  • Establish, implement, and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all new and existing employees, including both facility-wide training and job-specific training (e.g., new employee on-boarding, Lockout / Tag-out, confined space, fire prevention, fall protection, forklift operation, first aid, etc.)
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Ensure that all employees wear adequate Personal Protective Equipment at all times throughout the facility 
  • Analyze safety performance to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and report findings to senior management
  • Manage all regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., OSHA 300 logs, air quality reports, etc.)
  • Manage and lead investigations for all workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Coordinate purchasing of first aid supplies, safety supplies, and safety tools
  • Drive a proactive safety culture through communication, recognition, and continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, human resources, and finance to improve safety conditions, working conditions, and plant performance in order to make The Freeman Corporation an excellent place to work
  • 3+ years of experience managing an EHS program in an industrial environment
  • In-depth working knowledge of federal and state OSHA and EPA regulations as well as experience with risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency 
  • Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or other relevant certifications
  • Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems
