GSM Roofing and GSM Industrial is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to oversee the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) operations for our commercial and industrial construction sites, as well as our manufacturing operation in Centerville. This role is crucial in ensuring that our safety programs, training, and compliance with safety regulations are effectively managed and implemented. The EHS Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and administering safety programs, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and other regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will apply engineering, safety, and environmental principles to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions, while also fostering a culture of safety within the organization. In this position, you will manage and direct sites to achieve EHS targets and objectives, develop and maintain goals in support of GSM's EHS strategic initiatives, and establish relationships with regulatory agencies. You will conduct testing of air quality, noise, temperature, and other environmental factors, ensuring compliance reporting is completed. The EHS Manager will also lead safety audits, provide technical advice and coaching to employees, and participate in the New Hire Orientation Process to ensure that new employees are properly trained in safety protocols. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering the Workers' Compensation program and developing internal communication content to support safety initiatives. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and correcting safety behaviors and conditions, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. You will work closely with the GSM Leadership Team to create targets based on key EHS risks and drive continuous improvement in safety performance across the organization. This position is integral to maintaining compliance with all federal, state, local, and customer regulatory requirements, and to fostering a culture of safety and respect within the company.
