About The Position

As our Environmental, Health and Safety Intern, you'll play a vital role in advancing our EHS program within a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment. Your impact? You'll have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in real-world scenarios-conducting inspections, performing audits, and driving improvements to our systems and processes. You'll collaborate with team members across the facility, taking ownership of written programs, training initiatives, and hazard assessments-helping us build a safer and more environmentally responsible workplace.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications-or a strong willingness to learn.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to develop organized and effective systems and processes.
  • Confidence to respectfully challenge the status quo and influence positive change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead health and safety inspections and hazard assessments, recommending improvements to minimize potential risks.
  • Support the EHS committee by executing monthly activities outlined in our compliance calendar.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to audit and update safety procedures, work instructions, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
  • Apply your EHS knowledge to evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of training programs-and deliver engaging training sessions to employees.
  • Continuously learn and share insights to enhance and evolve our environmental, health, and safety efforts.
