The EHS Manager is responsible for leading all Environmental, Health & Safety at the Farmer Branch site. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements, drives continuous improvement in EHS performance, and fosters a strong safety culture across both locations. The EHS Manager oversees a team of EHS professionals and partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to support safe, efficient, and compliant site operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop, administer, and continuously improve EHS management systems, policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee environmental programs such as air permitting, SWPPP, SPCC, Tier II, and refrigerant management to ensure timely and accurate reporting to the EPA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Manage chemical waste programs to ensure compliance with RCRA and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, safety, and health regulations, as well as corporate policies and site requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of regulatory reporting, including OSHA 300 logs, Tier II submissions, and environmental permits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, inspectors, and consultants, including managing inspections, citations, and follow-ups.
  • Implement and oversee EHS education and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and support a proactive safety culture.
  • Promote employee engagement in EHS initiatives through communication, training, and leadership visibility.
  • Conduct risk and hazard assessments (chemical, electrical, mechanical, ergonomic) for manufacturing tools, processes, and facility support systems.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead or support emergency response planning, drills, and site preparedness activities.
  • Perform site audits and inspections, track findings, and partner with management to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze EHS performance data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement against established metrics and goals (e.g., injury rates, workers' compensation costs, compliance performance).
  • Maintain EHS dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with Facilities teams to ensure building systems, infrastructure, and capital projects meet EHS and regulatory standards.
  • Provide EHS oversight for facility upgrades, expansions, and process changes, ensuring safety and environmental considerations are integrated into design and execution.
  • Support emergency preparedness, fire protection, and ergonomic programs for all site facilities.
  • Lead and manage a team of EHS engineers and specialists.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities to team members.
  • Set goals, assign responsibilities, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
