We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and oversee our EHS programs and initiatives in Pueblo, CO. The EHS Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental performance while driving continuous improvement. This position will be located onsite in Pueblo, CO. Relocation assistance is available.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in EHS management in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment.
- Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs.
- Experience in EHS-related software and tools.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar management systems.
- Familiarity with sustainability programs and initiatives.
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, or related industries.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct regular EHS audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements applicable to the facility and operations.
- Lead incident investigations, facilitating root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations, projects, and decision-making processes.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees and management teams to promote awareness and ensure compliance.
- Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee hazardous materials management, waste disposal programs, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and other stakeholders on EHS matters.
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of EHS excellence.
