We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and oversee our EHS programs and initiatives in Pueblo, CO. The EHS Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental performance while driving continuous improvement. This position will be located onsite in Pueblo, CO. Relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in EHS management in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment.
  • Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs.
  • Experience in EHS-related software and tools.
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.
  • Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar management systems.
  • Familiarity with sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements applicable to the facility and operations.
  • Lead incident investigations, facilitating root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations, projects, and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees and management teams to promote awareness and ensure compliance.
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee hazardous materials management, waste disposal programs, and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and other stakeholders on EHS matters.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of EHS excellence.
