About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Analyst. This role will take place at our facility in Omaha, NE. We are able to offer relocation assistance for qualified candidates within the United States. The Senior EHS Analyst is responsible for supporting environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site. Our plant has a strong safety culture and we want that to continue as we grow and expand. In this role, you will be accountable for supporting EHS activities at his/her location(s), this includes supporting achievement of EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, communication of regulatory requirements, and ensuring documents are organized and readily available. This position is also responsible for supporting MESH assessment program, management of worker’s compensation program, driving incident/injury management, including root causes and corrective actions, assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics, tracking closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis, administration of EHS specific training for the location; supporting actions during crises, site security, and supporting the creation of a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety role(s).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in electrical safety or supporting employees working in a live electrical environment.
  • Prior experience or education with an emphasis in environmental, health, and safety program management and employee training.
  • Comprehension of Eaton, industry, state, and country EHS requirements.
  • Strong team-building & organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA & DOT federal, state and local regulations.
  • Ability to demonstrate managerial courage (e.g., managing varied interests representing potential conflicts).
  • Ability to lead and support cross-functional EHS teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements by participating and co-leading MESH Teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations across all functions to ensure compliance to MESH guidelines and persuade or lead teams to effective resolutions.
  • Obtain training and hands-on experience in implementing MESH tools to drive improvements in MESH and directly support plant objectives.
  • Work closely with management and facility employees at all levels to facilitate, lead, and/or assist teams in achieving department and plant goals as related to MESH, both safety standards and compliance to environmental/permit regulations.
  • Support efforts to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Create and maintain training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
  • Support efforts for third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class.
  • Work with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
  • Have responsibility for EHS project management from initiation through completion.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the Eaton Safety Process, ISO14001 and experience in Safety or Environmental compliance.
  • Work flexible hours to accomplish tasks.
  • Have knowledge and/or experience driving process improvements and sustaining implementation to prevent future incidents.
  • Ensure confidential, discreet handling of sensitive, confidential and proprietary information and tact and initiative in contacts with company employees, management and external regulatory/legal agencies or sources.
  • Assist with the Workers Compensation program and injury and illness management.
