Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator
About The Position
The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, execution of, and compliance to, all AtriCure environmental and safety programs worldwide. These programs do follow Federal, State, and Local guidelines as well as OSHA, EPA, ODOT and DOT regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Implement and maintain all AtriCure Environmental Health and Safety, and Ergonomics program per Federal, State, and Local EPA, MSD, OSHA, HASMAT regulations worldwide. Ensure monthly Atricure Inc. site Environmental Health and Safety Inspections/audits are completed. Conduct onboarding Environmental Health and Safety Training. Manage the AtriCure Forklift/Aerial Training program, Manage the SAFETY Footwear & Prescription Safety Glasses Programs. Audit the Drivers and Vehicles for (DOT/ODOT) compliance. Execute and assist with the Atricure Inc. safety committees’ functions. Execute and manage the fire, building, elevator, and site inspections. Execute water sampling and manage generated waste hauls, and maintain appropriate documentation per Federal, State, and local regulations. Source and manage the setup of new Environmental Health and Safety approved vendors as needed. Manage the AtriCure recycling programs. ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Regular and predictable work performance. Ability to work under fast-paced conditions. Ability to make decisions and use good judgment. Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required. Ability to successfully work with others. Additional duties as assigned.5% travel
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in safety or environmental related field
- Computer/Data Entry skills
- Written/Report writing skills.
- Good Interpersonal skills
- Verbal Communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Problem Solving Skills
- Auditing Experience (minimum 1 year)
Nice To Haves
- Associate-degree in business or science
- Safety Program Development Experience
- FDA Audit experience
- Safety Committee operation experience
- Strong Background in Industrial Ergonomics
- Strong Background in Dosimetry Tracking Programs
