About The Position
Antea USA, Inc. (AnteaGroup) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, entry-level Environmental Geologist, Scientist, or Engineer in Portland, Oregon. Qualified individuals must have strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written), and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong technical support team. This safety-sensitive position reports to a project manager and will support project teams on a variety of project assignments. Primary responsibilities would include supporting the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and more complex acquisition and divestiture projects. Other project assignments may include site remediation activities, technical and safety oversight of subcontractors, permitting, and sample collection. Primary tasks would include project research, data compilation and organization, site reconnaissance, technical report writing. Additional tasks could include preparing work and health and safety plans; conducting soil and groundwater investigations and sampling; remediation system operation and maintenance; data entry, management, and analyses. This is a full-time position with up to 70% of regional travel anticipated. This may require working alone in remote locations and/or out-of-state work supporting other company offices. Typical travel includes staying over at site locations for several nights per week, a couple of weeks per month. The locations may change based on client contracts and remediation site needs.
