Requirements

  • AS or BS in Environmental Science or Science Major
  • 0 to 5 years of environmental experience
  • Previous professional job experience not required in environmental field
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation and be able to pass MVR
  • Flexibility of schedule typically Monday Friday as specific projects require
  • Ability to travel within westerncentral MA & CT primarily; occasional day projects in RI ME NH & eastern NY as required
  • Ability to work during work required hours that typically range from 7 8 am to 5 6 pm depending on specific project schedule
  • Possess physical strength stamina and dexterity to perform varying site activities
  • Ability to bend and stoop to be at floor level
  • Familiarity with iPhone andor iPad
  • Should be able to manage multiple assignments
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with public at large
  • Adhere to Atlas and site specific safety standards
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and excel required
  • Must have the ability to work independently and on project teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CADD a plus

Responsibilities

  • Field services including groundwater and storm water sampling and landfill monitoring
  • Drilling oversight soil sampling and boring log preparation
  • Interaction with laboratories for sample pickup
  • Preparation and management of field supplies and equipment
  • GIS point data collection in field
  • Field and technical oversight including quality control and quality assurance for project activities and standard operating procedures and reports
  • Technical report writing and deliverables to Project Managers
  • Some interaction with regulatory and government agencies
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
