About The Position

Arcadis is seeking an entry level Environmental Technician at our Seattle, Washington location. Typical activities will include surface and groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil sampling, soil remediation oversight, operation and maintenance of remedial systems, permit compliance, and subcontractor oversight. The ideal candidate will have environmental site monitoring experience and an aptitude for mechanical and electrical problem solving, and a strong ability to communicate effectively with project teams both verbally and through written field work documentation. While experience with the aforementioned items is preferred, proficiency in this role's responsibilities can be learned on the job through training experienced staff. The majority of the work carried out by the person will be in day trip distance of Seattle, Washington, occasional travel within the region or nationally to respond to the needs of Arcadis's clients will be required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass background check for eRail Safe and TWIC clearance
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and Valid Driver's License
ability to work independently
Candidates must be able to read, understand, and complete scopes of work with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

1+ years environmental field experience preferred
Associates degree or Trade School Certificate/Diploma
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
