About The Position

We are seeking a highly-motivated student to join our Environmental Services Group for Summer 2026 in our Mt. Arlington office. Colliers Engineering & Design, an affiliate of Colliers, is a trusted provider of multi-discipline engineering, design and consulting services to public and private sector clients. Headquartered in Holmdel, New Jersey with over 80 offices throughout the United States, we specialize in providing a comprehensive suite of services including civil/site, transportation, geospatial/survey, infrastructure, governmental, geotechnical/environmental, telecommunications and utilities engineering as well as architectural and planning services. Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related program.
• Must have reliable transportation to the office.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess solid problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

• Our interns will assist technical staff on day-to-day projects.
• Read and review project drawings and plans.
• Confer with engineers about preparing plans.
• Use AutoCAD software under the charge of Engineers.
• Evaluate pre-construction field conditions.
• Observe project sites and evaluate contractors’ work to detect problems with a design.
• Prepare reports and document project activities and data.
• Prepare analyses from collected data.
• Set up and help maintain project files and records.
