The City of Olathe is seeking two interns to work in our Environmental Services Division. This is a great opportunity to learn the inner workings of the City of Olathe's Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities by assisting the Operations Managers and Process Operators between these two work groups and gain practical experience in the Public Sector as they study to obtain a degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or a related field. Attention to detail is critical and proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a requirement. This is an in-person only internship designed to hone your practical skills as you begin your engineering career. The City of Olathe provides meaningful work assignments to our interns and the opportunity to experience what it's like working in public service to help prepare for a future in their chosen career. Interns gain valuable skills in a real-world experience outside the classroom in an industrial environment, and the City mentors students in their career development. This is also a great opportunity to create a professional network with experienced engineers, leading professionals and peers.
