About The Position
At the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), we stand by our mission to conserve and protect the quality of North Dakota's air, land, and water resources following science and the law. We are looking for a candidate who identifies with this mission and has a passion for serving the citizens in our great state as an Environmental Engineer. As an Environmental Engineer for the Air Quality Division, you will be a part of a team that protects and improves the environment through reviewing and implementing air quality policies on a variety of air quality issues. You will be responsible for enforcing rules and regulations related to the air quality program by reviewing and overseeing the development of air pollution control permits; coordinating with state and management regarding program objectives; providing training and direction to air quality permit staff; and responding to inquiries from the public, community leaders, regulatory agencies, and business leaders about air quality issues.
