About The Position

The position is located at 2211 Norfolk St, Suite 1000, Houston, TX 77098. The role is full-time, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The primary responsibilities include supporting the design of assessment programs and remedial options for site cleanup, ensuring environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, and permitting activities. The candidate will scope, coordinate, and perform fieldwork to support environmental assessment, remediation, and restoration projects, which may involve collecting groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and surface water samples. Additionally, the role requires developing and tracking project budgets, preparing high-quality technical presentations, reports, letters, plans, and proposals with minimal oversight from senior staff, and regularly interacting with senior staff, clients, and regulators to communicate project status. The candidate will also coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and analytical laboratories, manage and analyze environmental data, conduct human health risk assessments, and contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related degree.
  • 3 years of related work experience in environmental engineering.
  • Experience working with state and federal environmental cleanup regulations.
  • Experience with air permitting for Title V facilities.
  • Experience in vapor intrusion mitigation system design, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Experience in environmental site investigation and remediation, including multimedia sampling.
  • Experience with environmental data analysis and programming.
  • Experience in human health risk analysis.
  • Experience with Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
  • Project management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • PE license or eligibility for PE.
  • 40 hour HAZWOPER course completion certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design of assessment programs and remedial options for site cleanup.
  • Scope, coordinate, and perform fieldwork to support environmental assessment, remediation, and restoration projects.
  • Develop and track project budgets.
  • Prepare high-quality technical presentations, reports, letters, plans, and proposals with minimal senior staff oversight.
  • Regularly interact with senior staff, clients, and regulators to communicate project status.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and analytical laboratories.
  • Independently perform subcontractor oversight.
  • Manage, analyze, and interpret environmental data using statistical and data visualization tools.
  • Conduct human health risk assessments on various projects using collected data.
  • Perform and oversee data entry and QA/QC of data tables, maps, reports, and other work products.
  • Independently perform research tasks with input from senior staff and technical experts.
  • Contribute to a team atmosphere through collaboration with technical experts, project managers, colleagues, and subcontractors.

Benefits
