The Environmental Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining the integrity of the company's environmental management systems. This position involves performing routine environmental sampling, conducting required inspections, and maintaining necessary records to ensure that all environmental practices meet regulatory standards. The engineer will be responsible for preparing and submitting compliance reports on a monthly basis, as well as preparing and maintaining the annual environmental operating plans. It is essential that all environmental permits and certificates are renewed in a timely manner and kept up-to-date with any applicable facility changes. As the primary contact with regulatory agencies, the Environmental Engineer must accompany regulatory representatives during site inspections and visits. Staying informed about environmental regulatory changes that could impact company operations is critical, and the engineer will be expected to communicate these changes to the appropriate management personnel. Continuous self-improvement is also a key aspect of this role, particularly in relation to new developments in environmental equipment and regulations. Additionally, the engineer will provide training for the environmental program, which includes training and coordinating the environmental management team to ensure that all staff are knowledgeable about environmental practices and compliance requirements.
