About The Position

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Environmental Engineer to join their Resilience Environment team in Knoxville, TN, starting in Summer 2025. The role focuses on supporting environmental assessment and remediation projects, particularly in emerging contaminants and remediation capabilities. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Scientists and Project Managers, contributing to various engineering design and optimization tasks while improving quality of life through sustainable solutions.

Requirements

• BS in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field
• Strong organizational and team building skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills
• Focus on health and safety

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance oversight for remediation systems (both water and vapor treatment systems)
• Design and oversight of system improvement projects and upgrades
• Soil and groundwater investigation and sample collection
• Site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies
• Data compilation, evaluation, and QA/QC
• Report writing, permitting, and cost estimating support
• Coordination with project managers and senior engineering staff
• Participating in field investigations, sampling activities, and pilot programs.
