Barr is seeking an environmental engineer to join its Bismarck office and undertake challenging and progressive work on projects related to the investigation, evaluation, and remediation of contaminated sites. Work may include managing multidisciplinary teams; preparing technical work plans and reports; coordinating ASTM Phase I environmental site assessments; investigating contaminated soil, sediment, groundwater, and vapor intrusion; conducting remediation technology evaluations and feasibility studies; developing site management strategies, remedial design, and response action plans; and coordinating site remediation activities. Project responsibilities may also include preparing cost estimates and contracting for investigation activities; developing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets; conducting communications, meetings, and negotiations with clients and regulatory agency personnel; providing overall project management; and mentoring junior staff. Business development activities may include interacting with clients to identify and develop new project opportunities, which will include maintaining strong relationships with clients, developing proposals, and networking with clients and project partners at conferences.
