Our Environmental business in Midland, TX is looking for an Environmental Scientist, Environmental Engineer or Geologist to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects. This role will be based in Midland, Texas. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Research, design, plan, and perform engineering duties in the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental hazards using various engineering disciplines.

  • Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
  • Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks.
  • Lead waste projects or supervise area of the organization, ensuring adherence to regulations and effective reduction, segregation, and disposal of waste.
  • Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments.
  • Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure.
  • Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats.
  • Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.
  • Carry out a range of research activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
  • Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.
  • Prepare technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and implement project permitting.
  • Interpret/evaluate environmental regulations.
  • Compile, reduce, and interpret data.
  • Understand remediation methods and operations and maintenance requirements.
  • PE or PG in Texas or New Mexico will be highly regarded.
  • 3-8 years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental permitting & compliance, remediation & design, site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation and project coordination.
  • Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of NMOCD and NM SLO rules and regulations as it relates to assessment and remediation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus.
  • Electrical systems and remediation system operation and maintenance.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to undertake field work is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field.
  • General Experience: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years).
  • Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months).
