Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Waterloo Function: Environment, Health, Safety (CA) Title: Environmental Engineer - 118822 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As an Environmental Engineer for John Deere Engine Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will implement environmental processes & programs to meet the ISO 14001 EMS requirements and comply with applicable laws and regulations. In addition, you will: Compile necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with Evironmental regulations and management system requirements. Coordinate and conduct audits to identify noncompliance within management systems and applicable laws and regulations. Oversee implementation of assigned programs and work direction to factory employees. Develop and deliver relevant and effective environmental training to employees. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

  • Experience with major environmental regulatory programs (air, water, waste, spill response), with skills to independently use the knowledge
  • Experience with environmental management systems and standards
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and are interest in working in a factory setting
  • Ability to work semi-independently, assess priorities and deliver accurate and timely work product
  • Ideally you will have a degree or 4 years of equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent technical discipline

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of AutoCAD, data analytics tools, and O365 suite
  • Experience working with Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 or equivalent)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build positive relationships with key stakeholders
