Highly responsible supervisory and technical work serving as the first line supervisor of either the Pretreatment, Backflow or Stormwater sections of the Sewerage and Water Board's Environmental Affairs Division. Duties include the review and management of federal, state, regional, and local regulatory compliance activities as well as development and implementation of reporting and tracking programs to enhance the overall effectiveness of environmental enforcement programs; and related work as required.

  • Supervise the Pretreatment, Backflow, or Stormwater sections of the Environmental Affairs Division.
  • Review and manage regulatory compliance activities at federal, state, regional, and local levels.
  • Develop and implement reporting and tracking programs for environmental enforcement.
  • Enhance the overall effectiveness of environmental enforcement programs.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Six (6) years of full-time experience in water treatment, waste treatment, or environmental compliance inspection.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Current Class Three (III) Wastewater Collection or Water Distribution certification issued by the Louisiana Department of Health.
  • Current Class Three (III) Wastewater Treatment or Water Treatment certification issued by the Louisiana Department of Health.
  • Water Supply Specialist Certification.
  • Backflow Assembly Tester Certification.
