Employees of this class are involved in the enforcement of environmental or water pollution control laws and other environmental requirements mandated by state and federal agencies including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ, etc.). Work includes conducting a range of enforcement activities related to the Stormwater, Backflow Prevention and Pretreatment sections and implementing programs and policy. Work also includes information collection, inspection, monitoring, sampling, and public education; and related work as requested.

  • Permanent status as an Environmental Enforcement Technician, Intern, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Geology or closely related course.
