Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in environmental programs similar to the scope of this contract
  • Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
  • Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations.
  • Understanding of federal energy laws and policies, including 1) Energy and water reduction requirements 2) Renewable energy requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Public Trust background check, if required for the position.
  • Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all contract activities align with the goals and requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Support the implementation and compliance of the Installation Energy Plan, including tracking energy performance and assisting in identifying opportunities for energy savings.
  • Monitor to ensure compliance with sustainability goals as outlined in federal, installation, or contract-specific policies.
  • Conduct periodic inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with environmental, energy, and sustainability standards.
  • Develop reports, maintain records, and support required documentation for audits or official reviews.
  • Coordinate with site personnel, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve compliance issues and support environmental awareness.
  • Provide training or guidance on relevant environmental and sustainability procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in integrating environmental and energy considerations into day-to-day operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
