About The Position

The Environmental Educator will plan, develop, coordinate and present an environmental education and interpretive program in cooperation with the Camp Tanager summer camp program, children ages 7-12. This individual will develop related written, audio visual and display materials to supplement the program.

Requirements

• Must have some knowledge of Iowa's flora and fauna, conservation principles and practices, ability to express oneself clearly
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in environmental education, natural resources, outdoor recreation or a related natural science
• At least two (2) years' experience with camp programs for children
• At least one (1) year demonstrated leadership role
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
