We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and mission-driven Environmental Education Coordinator to lead this exciting new chapter. About the Role As the Environmental Education Coordinator, you will manage and activate the 3B Learning Center while designing and delivering high-quality environmental education programming for all ages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Education, Wildlife Biology, Zoology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in education, preferably in museums, zoos, nature centers, outdoor recreation programs, schools, or camps
  • Strong knowledge of natural history, ecology, conservation, and biology
  • Experience administering outdoor learning programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage audiences of varying ages and backgrounds
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative, customer-service mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid State Driver's License may be required

  • Interpretive experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Designing and leading environmental education programs, workshops, presentations, and interpretive tours
  • Developing curriculum aligned with state and national education standards
  • Creating engaging classes, demonstrations, outreach programs, scout programs, and special events
  • Organizing program logistics including scheduling, staffing, materials preparation, and facility coordination
  • Maintaining outdoor interpretive areas such as woodlands, prairies, and ponds
  • Building strong relationships with schools, community groups, educators, volunteers, and local partners
  • Preparing reports, tracking program outcomes, and evaluating effectiveness
  • Working under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director to grow the Center's impact
