Barr is seeking an environmental data management technician to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will support the Assessment and Remediation business unit. The person in this position will work primarily in the environmental database EQuIS and heavily in Microsoft Excel. Assigned work tasks may include entering data into the EQuIS database; manually checking data thoroughly against original documents; entering geologic data and producing boring logs; producing charts and reports; performing advanced formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel; following processes set by the data management department; and discussing data and projects with other data management staff and project teams. The ideal candidate for this position is a clear and confident communicator who thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments. They are adaptable, organized, and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills grounded in scientific reasoning and technical expertise. They bring a high level of attention to detail and demonstrate accuracy and completeness in managing large environmental datasets using tools like EQuIS and Microsoft Excel.
