About The Position
The Environmental Coordinator II position at Dallas Water Utilities involves planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive environmental training and outreach programs for city departments and the community. This role serves as a subject matter expert on environmental regulation and compliance, environmental sustainability, and outreach initiatives. The coordinator will lead the development of materials, presentations, and workshops associated with these initiatives, ensuring effective communication and education on environmental issues. In this role, the Environmental Coordinator II will review environmental site assessments, develop outreach programs to educate the public on stormwater management, conservation initiatives, waste management, and air pollution. The coordinator will also be responsible for scheduling and presenting outreach programs for various age groups and businesses, facilitating discussions on reducing human impact on the environment, and promoting city programs. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee the creation and distribution of informational materials, manage website and social media content related to environmental programs, and assess the effectiveness of citywide environmental training initiatives. The position requires strong project management skills, the ability to interact with various stakeholders, and a commitment to improving environmental operations within the city.
