The Boeing Company is seeking an Environmental Control Tech B in Seattle, WA. This role involves independently performing environmental activities such as identifying, labeling, collecting, transporting, storing, preparing for shipment, treating, recycling, and repackaging hazardous wastes, adhering to specifications, technical orders, permits, and government regulations. The technician will maintain a working knowledge of State, local, and Federal regulations concerning hazardous waste management, including proper segregation, labeling, and documentation. Responsibilities also include sorting and classifying hazardous waste, checking containers for proper labeling, and determining appropriate disposal methods to ensure compliance. The role involves operating equipment, conducting routine inspections of hazardous waste collection sites, and providing remedial action and cleanup for spills. Technicians will also receive, inspect, kit, dispense, deliver, and maintain an inventory of chemicals and supplies, serving as an information resource on hazardous materials. The position requires responding to environmental hazard spills in collaboration with Boeing and external emergency response units. This is an onsite position and requires the candidate to be a “U.S. Person” for export control compliance.
