About The Position
The Environmental Services Department at Wake County Government is dedicated to providing opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth. As an Environmental Consultant specializing in Watershed Administration, you will be part of a dynamic team of scientists and engineers who bring diverse expertise from various sectors, including government, industry, and academia. This role is crucial in supporting the Water Quality Division, which is recognized nationally for its contributions to environmental protection and service delivery. The Watershed Management program, a key component of this division, focuses on sedimentation and erosion control, stormwater management, and plan review, allowing you to engage in projects that have significant impacts beyond the county level. In this position, you will collaborate with a customer-focused team of experts, ensuring that the highest standards of service are maintained. The Environmental Services Department is structured into four divisions: Administration, Animal Services, Solid Waste, and Water Quality.
