About The Position

The Environmental Consultant 2 - UST System Focus position at Arch Environmental Group involves working with a team of environmental professionals to provide consulting services related to stormwater, wastewater, chemical hygiene, and drinking water. The role focuses on managing underground storage tank (UST) systems and environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and preparing detailed reports for clients. The position requires a strong background in environmental science or engineering, along with experience in UST systems and project management.

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Must hold a valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Master's degree in a science-related discipline with 3+ years of experience in the environmental field, or a bachelor's degree with 5+ years, or a high school diploma with 7+ years of experience
• Working knowledge of environmental regulatory concepts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, primarily Word & Excel
• Willingness to modify personal schedules to meet project deadlines
• Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as required
• Ability to analyze policies for UST Leak Prevention

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in a consulting firm
• Class A/B UST Operator Certification
• Registered Environmental Manager
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
• Engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that UST systems comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Preparing detailed reports on findings, remediation efforts, and compliance status
• Coordinating day-to-day operations and communicating project priorities
• Scheduling planning to set priorities and track projects from start to finish
• Fostering relationships with potential and existing clients
• Responding to emergencies
• Other duties as assigned
