About The Position

Requirements

• At least six years of professional experience in environmental compliance.
• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Law, or Business Administration.
• Comprehensive knowledge of environmental laws including the Resource Conservation Recovery Act, Clean Water Act, and others.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Experience in planning, leading, and managing multiple environmental-related projects.

• Experience with the Postal Service or logistics/transportation industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee environmental programs for USPS.
• Provide technical and legal guidance on environmental protection issues to management.
• Manage a communications program to disseminate information on environmental regulations.
• Review and interpret existing environmental protection legislation and develop alternatives.
• Manage a program audit system to monitor compliance with environmental goals.
• Prepare reports on the economic impact of environmental programs and compliance status.
• Present findings from impact studies to senior management.
• Communicate with environmental regulatory agencies to ensure understanding of legislation.
