About The Position
Belshire Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as an Environmental Compliance Specialist. This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work and is committed to ensuring environmental compliance at both underground storage tank (UST) and aboveground storage tank (AST) facilities. As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in conducting regulatory visual inspections at various facilities, including gas stations, and providing essential training to facility employees. These employees are the first line of defense against spills that could potentially reach storm drains, making your role vital in maintaining the cleanliness of our waterways. In this position, you will be responsible for effectively communicating crucial information to assist our clients in maintaining compliance with federal, state, district, and local regulations. You will conduct annual training sessions for designated facility employees on required safety and compliance duties, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle their responsibilities. Additionally, you will complete state inspection report forms and perform additional environmental regulatory audits as required by client and location. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in making appropriate compliance recommendations and performing regular safety checks on all field equipment. This role involves approximately 80% fieldwork, with about four days per week spent at customer sites, and one day per week dedicated to office tasks that can be completed remotely from your home office. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to pass the California UST System Operator Certification after completing our company-sponsored training program, which is a requirement for this position.
