About The Position
Great Lakes Environmental & Safety Consultants is seeking an experienced Environmental Professional who is looking to make an impact in a dynamic company, make key decisions and influence the organizations with whom we interact. Our clients are primarily in the Western New York (Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Rochester, Jamestown) and Central New York (Syracuse, Corning, Binghamton) areas, and range from small to mid-sized industrial, manufacturing, and construction companies. We assist our clients with the responsibility of ensuring their environmental compliance is in order. The right candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of New York State-specific environmental matters including: Air Emissions Permitting, Petroleum Bulk Storage and Spill Response, Chemical Bulk Storage and Spill Response, EPCRA, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, Phase I & Phase II ESAs, Brownfields Cleanup and Redevelopment, Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Management, and Wastewater Management. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental or chemical engineering, physical sciences, or another appropriate field. They should have at least 3 years of experience in the environmental compliance field, with a working knowledge of New York State EHS requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with demonstrated project management skills and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
