Environmental Chemist - Water Department
About The Position
The incumbent performs chemical and bacteriological analyses in water treatment processes. Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 5 years of related experience and/or training, and 7 to 11 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school graduate or GED plus an "A" water lab certification from the Oklahoma State Department of Environmental Quality required. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable. B.S. degree in the biological sciences fields. Areas of education or experience which would be an asset are: Personal computer experience, Atomic Absorption Spectrometry experience, and/or Biomonitoring experience. A minimum of five years of experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Must submit a completed City of Midwest City employment application to be considered.
- High school graduate or GED plus an "A" water lab certification from the Oklahoma State Department of Environmental Quality required.
