About The Position

Langan is seeking an Environmental/Chemical Engineer to join its collaborative team in Phoenix. This individual will serve a key function in working on small-scale and large-scale environmental land development projects, regulatory compliance and remediation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner across disciplines in a continuous learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of work-related experience.
  • EIT Certification or current registration for the FE exam preferred.
  • Prior relevant internship or professional work experience preferred.
  • Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer model and engineering software skills.
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical analysis capabilities.
  • Commitment to working in a safe and healthy manner.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation access to remote job site locations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and execution of field investigations and remedial operations by collecting environmental media samples, performing field tests and collecting and recording data.
  • Complete standard logs and field forms.
  • Conduct regulatory and compliance research and prepare permit applications/plans.
  • Complete calculations, inventories, and data analysis using standard computer software and models.
  • Prepare technical reports including engineering texts, tables, graphs, and figures.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
