About The Position

This role ensures environmental compliance across assigned operations by supporting permitting, monitoring, reporting, and regulatory interactions to help maintain safe, compliant, and efficient facilities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Environmental, Geological, Engineering, or equivalent with experience and training in Environmental Regulations
  • Experience: Minimum six or more years of Environmental experience.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills essential for data management and analysis.
  • Abilities: Ability to coach, audit, train and spend time in production areas of the facility with varying exterior and interior temperatures.
  • Behaviors: Possess exceptional communication skills and willingness and ability to work with all levels of the MLC organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Hazardous Waste Awareness Training (40 CFR Subtitle C); US Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials Training (49 CFR 172.704). . If certifications are not held, the candidate will be expected to attend and complete the certification classes upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Support air quality compliance, including Title V/NSR permitting, testing, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist with water quality requirements such as NPDES/stormwater permits, sampling, inspections, and reporting.
  • Guide facilities in proper handling and disposal of hazardous, universal, and solid wastes.
  • Support compliance for VGP/VIDA and Underground Injection Control (UIC) programs, including inspections, sampling, and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit required EPCRA Tier II and TRI reports and ensure FIFRA reporting compliance.
  • Participate on Environmental Pillar Teams and contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Communicate regulatory changes and environmental impacts to facility and corporate personnel.
  • Utilize the environmental management system to track inspections, incidents, audits, and corrective actions; support stack and opacity testing coordination.
